Mexico City, Mexico
In March 2024, I embarked on my first mural painting experience at a hostel in Mexico City, working on their rooftop terrace. Over the course of two weeks, I completed 10 murals, each carefully placed around the white wall that encloses the space. These murals are based on sketches from my travels across Mexico, with a particular focus on those made in Mexico City. The artwork captures a sense of place, aiming to showcase the beauty of Mexico by highlighting the people and neighbourhoods that truly define its culture, rather than the typical tourist attractions and scenic landmarks. The scenes range in subject matter from street vendors and couriers to the tree lined streets of Roma and auto shops of Doctores.

[01] I bring a sketchbook with me wherever I go. For these mural paintings, I drew inspiration from the sketches I had gathered during my 6 month sojourn in Mexico with a focus on those collected in Mexico City.
