Montreal, Canada
Summer 2024 marked my painting debut in Canada with a commission for Club 777 Vintage, a prominent vintage store on Montreal's lively Rue St. Denis. Tasked with transforming a sizable white bench, I drew inspiration from Y2K culture to create 28 distinct illustrations, including skateboarders, souped-up Subarus, lava lamps, and flip phones. The bold colour palette ensures the piece stands out, adding visual appeal to Club 777’s already intriguing storefront.

[03] The project began with dozens of sketches depicting Y2K style, culture and memorabilia.
[04] At the last moment, we had an unexpected change in the dimensions of the bench and so we were required to pivot and rework the designs to suit the new requirements. Once drawn, I added in some fun colours to complete the piece.
